Helzberg Diamonds is an American institution that’s been in business since 1915. From humble heartland beginnings, it has grown to more than 200 stores but has remained committed to high levels of customer service in all that it does.

Acquired by Warren Buffett’s company, Berkshire Hathaway, in 1996, the company remains committed to supporting and practicing ethical metals mining and only sells conflict-free diamonds.

Does Helzberg Diamonds offer a military discount?

Helzberg Diamonds offers a 10% discount to customers to military members and their families, first responders (police, fire, and EMT professionals), and those in higher education. College students with an eligible email can get the discount as well.

The military discount applies to active duty, military retirees, disabled veterans, and registered dependents of active duty/retirees.

The 10% discount applies to purchases made online, in-store, or by phone at 1-800-435-9237.

Details about the Helzberg Diamond buying process

Helzberg offers free shipping and a free return and exchange policy for easy and risk-free shopping.

Helzberg Diamonds ships all APO/FPO orders via USPS Priority Mail to the appropriate APO/FPO processing center, then via the military postal service. Shipment tracking is not available for APO/FPO addresses.

USPS will not show a delivery or in-transit scan for packages sent to these addresses for security purposes. Shipments are subject to the import restrictions of the country in which your base is located.

The company guarantees your package will ship within Helzberg’s current shipping guidelines and will arrive at the APO/FPO processing center at the estimated date provided to you at checkout. The average delivery time from the processing center is between 5-10 days, but it can vary.

If you are already familiar with receiving timelines associated with your current location, your Helzberg Diamonds order will likely arrive in the time frame you currently experience.

Regular return policies apply to orders shipped to APO/FPO addresses.

All Helzberg Diamonds orders are insured from when they are shipped until they arrive at your location. If you’ve purchased a Life Time Care Plan and plan on being overseas for more than a year, please contact the company’s Customer Care.

Because APO/FPO addresses are considered domestic, no taxes or duties are due on orders shipped to them. Taxes and duties will be applicable if an order is sent directly to a base rather than through the APO/FPO system. Helzberg Diamonds will include all required tax documentation with your order.

The discount may not be used on WOW items, Vault Sale items, Season’s Savings items, Clearance items, or Birthstone Deals.

It also does not apply to trade-ins/break-ups, care plans, repairs, appraisal services, Lashbrook Build Your Own, I Am Loved bears, pre-owned Rolex, call stones, customer appreciation certificates, or Helzberg Diamonds® Gift Cards.

The military discount cannot be combined or applied with any other special offer, including the watch discount, credit card reissue offer, and online-only deals. It also cannot be used at Helzberg Diamonds Outlets.

Added perks of shopping with Helzberg Diamonds

Most retail stores have a private Diamond Room so you can get an in-depth look at a possible purchase. Customers can view gems under an Angular Spectrum Evaluation Tool (ASET) that uses advanced technology to reveal intricate details you can’t see through a regular microscope.

Helzberg Diamonds is among a select few jewelers to meet the American Gem Society’s high standards. This nonprofit trade association of fine jewelry professionals maintains and promotes the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional behavior.

Helzberg is also a national sponsor of the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of America, focusing its primary charitable giving on granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
